Fun With Clay 1 & 2
Ages 5-12
Five classes of one hour 15 minutes each
for $65.00. Each additional family member is $55.00.
Learn the basics of pottery using hand building techniques. Make pinch pot pals, slab houses and coil creations!
Methods of glaze application and firing will be introduced. The student can stretch his/her imagination as well as fine
tune his/her hand-eye coordination all while having fun with clay! Fridays 4:30
to 5:45
Preschoolers and Home schoolers can call to arrange their special times.
Pottery 1
Ages 10-Adult
Eight classes of one hour 30 minutes for $140.00. Each additional
family member is $130.00. (These fees are the same for Pottery 1-4)
A review of hand building techniques and an introduction to the potter's wheel. Clay preparation, glaze formulation
and kiln procedures are introduced. A combination of hand building methods will also be explored.
Thursdays or Fridays 4:30 to 6:00
Homeschoolers
can call to arrange their special times.
Pottery 2
Ages 10-Adult
Refine and expand your basic wheel techniques. This class is geared to individual student abilities and interests.
Emphasis on design, function and surface decoration.
Friday nights 7:00 - 8:30
Pottery 3 & 4
Ages 10-Adult
Specific advanced projects
such as jars with lids are explored in addition to glaze making and testing.
Open
Studio hours for independent study offered on Sundays 3:00 to 5:00 at $12.00 per hour. This includes all supplies and
firing fees. Pottery 1 & 2 required to be allowed in open studio.
